Cory got it exactly right. $180.00 is pocket change, a mere pittance, petty cash.

In other words, to keep a customer happy and uphold the integrity of his business and maintain a positive reputation, the shop owner would have been much better off to eat the $180.00 rather than have his name and the name of his shop openly discussed in a negative fashion on the world wide web.

Regardless of the alleged theft being true or false a negative reputation is a most difficult hurdle to overcome. People like to remember the bad things.

Will this man's business be damaged by this event? Only momentarily.

Will he lose customers? We know @bdmaxima will not be returning.

Sorry to Hear BD, sucks is Chulo's reputation gets hit as well, i mean he promotes the business well and shit like this makes him look real bad. When technically he had nothing to do to it. I dont blame him for not getting in the middle afterall when this is all settled, he still works there.

Whats also surprising is the amount of people not happy with the work, we see all these high end cars posted, looking BAUCE, are they only giving the best to those cars and NOT the poor ol maxima crowd? I mean the prices one pays may not be tooo much but shit we all work hard for the money. Suks for all parties involved

So 3 people already who were going to get work done will not now. Pretty sure that work combined is more than $180. Looks like the point about biting the bullet and paying out has been proven.

i got my front lip molded and painted by them, although they charged me alot of money, and I thought they did a good job. Then I followed up with them, when they left dirty ass hand prints all over my suede, and that when a small piece of painters tape landed on the lip, and lifted the paint right up. I went to metro auto body and they wouldnt fix there bad prep work. instead they blamed it on me saying that you shouldnt put painters tape on a car...

so they stole from 3 of our members. they dont back up there own work. im sure they have been gettin away with doing shit like this for years, call me old fashion but I would like to put an end to this shops bull shit.

That's bad for business, real talk! It looks like that shop might have lost a few potential clients just from this site alone. That $180 is bitiing him in his ass!....SMH!!!! Sorry to hear about ur issues, dude! I understand Chulo's position in this whole mess....however, I do believe that it would be beneficial for him to tell his boss about this thread. That might put some sense into his head and remind him to keep it honest next time. Bless!

On the other hand however, I really don't see why you are so mad about him taking the coilovers since you were giving them away in the first place, right? Isn't one man's trash another man's treasure??? It's kind of like breaking up with a girlfriend and then getting mad when someone else is boinking her. (That's right! I said "boinking"). Or maybe I'm missing the point and if so, I apologize

While I think went happened is wrong on the part of the owner, I do agree with this. Unfortunately this is a lose/lose for both sides. The owner is the one who will pay the price though. There are a lot of NY members here who might or might not ever go there now. This whole thing is just a shame...
