In my opinion, you should just get an HID kit and install it into your current headlights. It'll save you a bunch of trouble. If you need HID kits then you should hit up Max Power, don't know if he's on here but you can reach him at 6thgenmaxima.org

and MaxPower is a ripoff and a half |

Shayne were you not there when we tried to install my headlight. I paid 140 for the whole housing with bulbs, but of course the aftermarket HID's just didn't fit. Probably the same case, quality was good, even came with those nifty rubber L's.

Why do you say that? I've read people writing good things about his kits. Let me know about that one, I'm was planning on picking up a couple sets in the future. It would be some good information to have before making a choice.

he just over charges for EVERYTHING. If your looking for HID kits, check out DDMtuning.com. Their kits start at $29.99, with a lifetime warranty. I have 2 sets in my car, I had one in my truck, and I have a set in my girls accord, never had an issue, and i've had my 2 sets for about 2 years

The cheaper the better in my opinion.

Has anyone ever had a problem with HID's or Halos? I have heard of someone putting HID's on an Altima and it kept frying the computer so I am kind of hesitant about getting some for the Maxima.

I have one passenger aftermarket. It looks no different. The outer lense material is cheaper than oem. It already has tiny scratches from car washing. Also looks like it might start to haze.

Update. The aftermarket headlight is cheap. The outer lense has spider cracks and scratches, while my other stock headlight for 2004 looks brand new. The most important part is.... the projector for the headlight and fog light is a flat plastic. Our factory projectors are made of glass and round.

Not the one I got. Unless the projector lense fell off. It looks like a plastic ring.

Back to the rig post, the OEM HID's have different lenses in them than the Halogen housing. So the best way is to get a new housing or get the lenses.
Late to the game but the question was never answered. iirishsamuraii, what did you end up doing anyways? |

DDM Tuning is a good spot. I'm about to order some new ones. Good for the price.

I just picked up a new set of aftermarket headlights, and the bulbs are different. Talk about being a little upset knowing I just bought some his also that don't fit the aftermarket.
