I've seen this question come up several times lately, so I thought I'd compile a list of everthing needed (to the best of my knowledge).

An antenna booster may be helpful. Many of the aftermarket HUs get poor reception, especially on the AM band.

i know this is not the right place this is where all the items are list for this mod so i maybe you could help or point me to the right place..

how to install an aftermarket HU in my 05 max i hood up all the wires color to color but the HU wont turn on maybe im doing something wrong please help

I would double check the ground and on mine there are two power wires

A constant 12V and a ignition 12V make sure thoughs are both right

And if there are any fuses

ok im check the fuses but i connected the HU harness to a aftermarket wiring harness and plug it into the stock oem harness. the stock hu comes on ad shows the temp and ac info but the aftermarket HU will not power up

Why does your profile say you have a 2005 CVT ?

I might be wrong but I dont remember the stock harness having both 12v sources

haha where does it say that at i have a 05 max se and a few hondas

did you forget to hook up the antenna to the back of the headunit?

but ran out of time and I can't get sound
