Correct. The mileage is stored in the cluster itself.

My only question is. If you wanted to sell or trade your car. The miles on the car wouldn't be accurate...

@1hawaii50, if I bought a 07 - 08 cluster, could you mod it like this to match the blue in the LED conversion?

Did I do your conversion yet? How do you want it modded? I can do a single solid color, or I can do multiple colors.

Damn Don, are you that busy you can't remember if you did a conversion yet?

No you haven't done mine yet. I want a simple blue and white, but my cluster would have to have the red needles unless I get the 07 - 08 cluster.

Doesn't look bad, and that's what mine was going to look like, but 06 cluster. But that straight blue and white is sexy!!!

So this is one of the many mods I am looking forward to doing but many of the pictures are no longer visible. I really was wondering how the 07' speedo in my 05' would look from the top view as well not only from the front.

so the old plug just plugs right in to the new model one?

so it looks as if you need the top cover for the new speedometer as well. Most of the used speedometers on ebay don't include the top cover

Thanks for the thread,no more stuck needle and looks dope. Would post pics but looks exactly like the previous guys lol. Did a ton of cutting.

Was also wondering if enlarging that hole effects cabin temperature?
