Default When To Change Transmission Fluid (CVT)

Does anyone know when Nissan reccommends you to change the transmission fluid for the maximas with the CVT transmission? I have an 08 and i just hit 45k miles and was wondering if this is something i need to do.

Service Manual says first is recommended at 30K but most people wait till 60K. It all depends on how you drive. If you drive really hard... 30K would be a good start.

Just don't wait too long...if your near 100k and its never been done, DON'T do it...a lot of times it causes more problems at that high of mileage then it will solve or prevent. The flush will loosen any particles up and move everything around, so if you've gone that long, there are going to be things in there that will create more issues after they have been disturbed. Just something to keep in mind.

BTW, the dealer can do a full pressurize flush for a decent price...last time I went they were offering it for $149, which is a pretty good deal when you consider what you will spend on the fluid alone doing it yourself, and this is a one time full out flush, no dealing with drain and refill
