10w-30 is good. The oil wont breakdown as much since its better for the weather as opposed to 5w since its good for the winter but it breaks down faster in the hotter temperatures. I use 10w-30 regular oil. I dont use synthetic. my car is high in mileage, yes, but synthetic oil is too thin and may go through my seals. And I dont want that. So I stick to regular. I havent had any problems ever since, so I'm good.

Not quite, they are both -30 weights, so the viscosity will be the same on both once the oil gets up to operating temperature, the first number is the cold weight of the oil.
