Default Using PayPal - Some Advice

As many of you know... I recently encountered an issue with a seller on Maxima.org.

When you are buying from a seller that you have some doubts of... make sure you use a credit card for the purchase.

Why? Because your bank can file a chargeback and give you back your money faster than PayPal. The credit card company will then take it up with PayPal. PayPal opens up a case and it can take a long time for it to be resolved. Your money is just sitting in the air and if the seller is smart enough... they know the drill to escape with your money.

ALSO DON'T EVER SEND MONEY AS A GIFT UNLESS IT IS SOMEONE YOU KNOW AND TRUST!!

Why? Because you can't file a claim for a gift. A gift is a gift.

This is just some helpful advice. Also make sure to look up the seller. Google their name and search, search , search before you buy!! You will be suprised and how fast you will find something and withdraw from a transaction that will hurt your pockets.

No, he's talking about adding your credit card to the method of payment used on paypal. I can pay for something with paypal, and use my Mastercard to do it. This way, if I get screwed, I call Mastercard and dispute the charges. Paypal's alleged protection plan has NEVER helped me in the 3 times that I needed it.

For security reasons, I don't let anyone string me along with paypal. I ordered a rear bumper two years ago. The shop promised 7days on the ebay site. Well it turned into three weeks and they wouldn't answer the phone. They wouldn't reply to my emails either. So I called paypal and they put the money on hold. Well then, the assholes broke their necks responding to me ! They said. "We already have it painted, you have to take it".

The good thing is that for a seller... once you open a claim they can't recieve any more payments. So if they sell alot of items... everything is on hold and their business will slow down.

So file those complaints and claims.

I can't stand PayPAL right now.

They take forever to clear their purchases too!
