Default Monthly Inspection Maintenance Checklist

Maintenance is one of the things people overlook. They continue to mod, mod and mod but yet forget about the simple maintenance items of their car. Here’s a checklist I created to help remind you of what you need to check every month. Checking these things early on can help save you from potential bigger problems later on.
  1. Fluid Checks
    • Oil Level & Color
    • Brake Fluid
    • Coolant
    • Windshield Washer Fluid,
    • Power Steering Fluid
    • Automatic Transmission Fluid Level (4spd,5spd,CVT)
    • Hydraulic Clutch Fluid Level (6spd)

  2. Make sure the dash lights, headlights, brake lights, back-up lights, and turn signals are in good working order.

Note: If you have a Check Engine Light (CEL), make sure you get the code read first before resetting it. This could be a warning for bigger potential problems.

  3. Check the tire pressure in all four tires and the spare tire.

  4. Lubricate all locks/hinges

  5. Inspect Wiper Blades

  6. Review the condition of the tires: look for uneven wear and check the tread depth.

  7. Look in the engine compartment and under the car for wetness that may indicate a leak.

  8. Examine all the belts for cracks. Be sure to check the inside of the belts.

  9. Inspect all the hoses: look for cracks, leaks, or hoses that are rubbing and may develop a leak.

  10. Inspect the battery for corrosion at the cable ends.

  11. Inspect brake pads & rotors.

  12. Inspect in cabin filter by glove compartment.
