Default 60,000 Mile Maintenance

So I'm due for my 60k service on my 07 SL. I called the otherday and got a quote of $589. I asked what was included in that and he replied:

Coolant change
Oil change/filter
Air/in cabin filter
Rotate/balance tires
Oil additive
Gas additive

then inspect a bunch of stuff......

just seems like alot of money for doing really nothing. My main concern really was the cvt service but...apparently it's an additional $255?!?!?! Does this sound right?

sounds right... from the dealer.

also, if you've never done it, you might wanna look into getting a brake flush too.

im not sure about the oil/gas additive though... you could probably skip that.

wow....well I'm not about to pay $600 for work I can do for $300. I was just floored when they said the trans was extra. I have never really brought my car in for servicing I've always done my own. Figuring it was the 60k, Id have them do it.....nevermind! Thanks Nismo

I did my own CVT drain/fill following the directions elsewhere in this sit...there are also directions for a flush/fill.
The in-cabin air filter is like $12-$15 from AutoZone.
Couple gallons of coolant...$20-$35
Oil and filter...$20
Fuel and oil additives...$20-$30 (depending on what you get)
Road force balance (at my dealership)..$40

Your biggest cost is going to be the CVT flush/fill, due to the high cost of the fluid. If you want to do it yourself, see if Raul (MrDolla) can hook you up with the fluid.

Sounds high to me. I'll dig out my 60k paperwork,,pretty sure it was in the ~$400 range. I just decided to have dealer do it, and have a Nissan record of major service.

My uncle is a mechanic and has a lift in his personal garage so I'm goin to be doing this all myself. Completely ridiculous honestly. I pm'd MrDolla a couple times about cvt fluid and said he was goin to see if he could still get it or not. Then asked what his email etc was to paypal info and got no response. If your cool with him, I'm in need and in need quick. Thanks
