Default What First?

I have a bone stock 06 maxima and I'm trying to decide what to get for more horsepower. What's the first upgrade you would make to get more power out of your car?

You can try thermal intake spacer kit ,cold air intake and catback ,that will give you a total of at least 20hp and about 13-14 ft.t

all good suggestions here. I'd go intake, spacers, y-pipe, headers (or HFPCs), catback, tune in that order.

I think you'll be ok with most intakes. I have a fujita. does it rain often where you live?

If high water is common, then Nismo is safest. I think one or two others have the water valve, but I can't remember for sure.

Add-on spacers, y-pipe & exhaust. Headers would really top it off.

The takeda intake is a good choice. Had mine for months now and no problems and it can be cold air or the short ram. And sounds great! I was surprised of the sound

Nismo intake was my first performance mod about 8 months ago. I did it myself with no real experience under the hood of a car. I love it...you will too. Y- pipe going on tomorrow. I'll keep you posted.

I'd personally go for a short ram intake over a cold air intake for your first mod
