Default Splash Guard Under Front Bumper And Engine Gone

so i was driving today and like an idiot i didnt judge my u turn right because the turning radius suck on the maxima..
but anyways i kinda scraped a snow mound and then instantly the plastic covering underneath the car engine fell off on one side and was scraping the road til i got home.
i got underneath and saw it and decided to string it up for the night and id get it rebolted on tomorrow, but again, like an idiot i decided the string would hold and i went to go pick up my buddies from the bar.
midway through my trip the thing just snapped off, and im not even sure when it happened to be honest.
how important is this piece? and how much does it cost to replace?

I've had mine off for 2 years and if you were to get one, get it from the dealer.

It helps tremendously in keeping road dirt and grime from being kicked up into the engine bay. I don't know if it is necessary for cooling, or not. On my Mustang, it was needed for airflow to the engine, without it I had cooling issues.

Front lower engine cover from courtesyparts.com, $31. It prevents from road debris gettin in between ur engine n radiator. Also protects coolant hoses.

I have had mine gone for 2 years too, never had a problem. Being lowered it hits all kinds of things, and the little clips are always breaking. I even had it on with zip ties and it still broke them. I was tired of messing with it, so I just took it off.

Mine came off on the Z cause im super low and the assholes changing my oil knocked it off after I told them 5 times to put boards down to pull it in...

I zip tied it up real nice, no problems since.
