Default Spark Plug

Ran into a little problem changing my plugs out. Can someone tell me how can I get the manifold free from this gold looking bracket. Don't know what else to do. I removed the two bolts already, just can't clear it

That's your egr valve. I have an 07, so I didn't have to deal with it.

Here is a vid....not specific, but will let ya know you gotta take a bunch of stuff off to do the plugs. See if you missed anything that may allow you to get the manifold off past that egr.

Lift up the let side first and slide it out at an angle, or remove the two bottom bolts to the egr pipe and just take that out with it

Definitely would not recommend this a beginner. Not saying
I'm the best, but I know a little something. Also replaced the
Pcv valve.

Hey, hey, great to hear you replaced the PCV valve. Big pet peeve of mine when people don't do that.

Yeah, well, that job is not too difficult, but there is a lot of stuff! That is why it is so expensive to have done; all that labour to get everything out of the way. Now you're on your way to being your own tech, for that is about the most difficult of the DYI stuff for our cars.

Yeah man, figured I'll do it all while I have everything apart. Dealership is crazy with there prices. I cleaned the EGR too, hope she runs better. She ran good before, but new plugs new PCV valve and clean EGR she should. Going too put it back together tomorrow.
