Default Should I Get Leather Or Coilovers?

Hey guys, so Ive been wanting two things for my car REALLY bad.

1)Coilovers-why? Because I'm lowered on progress/kyb, like the ride but I want the perfect height and with coilovers that's 100% possible and one of the most important things for me on my car is how it sits and progress springs are just not doing it for me.

2)Leather Conversion-Why? I have non-leather seats and they drive me nuts, I like to keep my car VERY clean (wash it 2-3 times a week) and the non leather seats get dirty very fast and there's a few tiny stains from previous owner that really drive me bananas, and who wouldn't like nice black leather seats?

Now, both of those things are around the same price range but I'm having a very difficult time deciding which too get, so this is where I need your help guys, what do you suggest I should get, any help will be appreciated.

Hey bro, I'd get the coilovers. Best mod i did so far on the max. If it bothers you thats bad about your seats just grab some cheap seat covers for now and get the coilovers.

I'd do the Coilovers! But if you really want that leather get it. You're already dropped should be good for now

I think leather will give you more personal comfort and satisfaction with the added bonus of a slightly greater resale value.

You will probably do both, just not at the same time.

Definitely listen to Thunder on this one.. Or try to find some leather seats out of some Maximas being parted-out, it might take a while but you will probably save in the long run.

Where in Cali are you? A guy in San Diego is parting out his Max and I think he has black leather. He may be willing to trade or work something out. Look up Slavik in San Diego.

Especially now a days. Everybody and their mother's is slammed and i'm riding 4x4 status on a progress drop

I'm saving up right now for coils (ksports) and mb battles. 18's with the 9.5 in the back and 8.5 in the front and stretch the tires for the flush look.

Honestly I think you put money into the suspension so now its the interior to get a piece of that pie then if you want coilovers do them later, and is the ride annoying as in your are hitting stuff / having to drive like your slammed or does it not feel evenly distributed ?

too me importance is appearance, but i kind of want exterior appearance a little more its just not many people look inside of my car anyways but it would be really nice to have leather, as for the springs i have right now, the comfort is great i have no complaints about that, but my car is just not low enough, i want it to be lower, about an inch lower and thats only possible with coilovers (possible in a safe way) progress doesnt drop enough, well for me it doesnt

Get the leather first. Harder to find a good deal on so take advantage while you can.

Yeah I know I'm a newbie here but I say do the leather. That is something you will feel and enjoy every time you open the door and take a set.

I hate cloth!!!! My 04 Altima 3.5 SE has tan cloth and it flat out sucks!! Damn near impossible to keep really clean and if you use a machine to clean them, they start showing the wear on the material.

Hey you spend more time enjoying the inside cause you can't sit on the hood and drive the thing and look at the stupid gap while on the cruise.

Yeah I too hate that stupid gap. I have dealt with it for the past 6 years on the Altima cause my wife was the main driver of it and she refused to let me lower the front of "her" car. Well now that we just added the 06 SL Max to the coral I have total say in what's gonna happen. Lucky for me I already have the leather.

I was talking to a local car dealer back when I was on the look for some new wheels. He told me that there is a company that offers a leather kit that pretty much is a very easy do it your self kit that comes with video instructions and the whole 9 yards to be able to do it in your own garage. He said that the kits are $600-$800 and that they make them for any car. Of course my first question was, "what about those seats with side airbags?" He said that they make them for those too for the same $$.

Check out those kits. You may be shocked at the cost savings.

A few years back I found a tan leather kit for my 04 Altima on e-bay. The dude bought the kit and didn't get the chance to install it because he totaled the car. He had a buy it now of $400! Of course it was a tight budget at the time so it wasn't in the cards. I hate when that happens!!!
