Default Service Maintenance Question

Hey max experts/owners!

Sorry if I failed to find my answer in existing threads but can you please tell me if I should take my Max for maintenance according to the mileage intervals i.e maintenance service @ 30k/60k/90k etc. I have about 85k mile on my 2005 SL and didn't take it in for either 30k or 60k. Now, since I am getting close to 90k, I just wanted to know experts' opinion if it will be worthwhile to take a trip to Nissan Service at the dealership. Nissan has this maintenance schedule guide in PDF ( http://www.nissanusa.com/pdf/techpub...2010_N_SMG.pdf ) and I'm not just sure if I should go for it.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

I'd take it in at 90k.

I would not take it in for the 90k service at the Dealership, for you're gonna get hammered.

Take it to a mechanic you trust and have the critical service requirements done. Your critical service requirements would be coolant and transmission fluid replacement. None-critical service requirements would be brake and power-steering fluid replacement. All other stuff you replace as you wear/brake it (brake pads and rotors/struts and strut-mounts/end-links/tie-rods and so forth).

A good look-over by someone you trust would also be key. You may have something that is on its way out (coolant lines/vacuum tubes) and a heads-up would be nice instead of it failing on you.

Thanks!! Really appreciate it! Anyone happens to know a good mechanic in the NYC area that I can trust? I hate to have the mechanics trying to figure out how to do things on my max which usually ends up being expensive since they spend hours figuring things out.
