Default Raw fuel smell on cold start

Hello all,

Every time I start my car when its cold, either in the mornings or after it has sat for many hours, I get this smell of raw gas that comes through my ventilation system if the intake is set to fresh. The smell will go away once the engine is warmed up. The CEL isn't on.

The smell seems to be coming from the air intake side of the engine, where all the EGR, evap, and fuel lines are located.

Other posts have talked about injector orings being the cause, as residual fuel pressure after the vehicle is switched off causes small amounts of fuel to leak out around the injectors. As the engine is warming up from a cold start, this fuel vaporizes on the warming metal, causing the fuel smell.

Sounds logical to me, but are there any other causes that would make the smell of gas like this?
