Default Outside Buzzer

Hi, everyone. I've been having an issue with my 2007. For some reason, when pushing the buttons on the door handles, opening the trunk with the button above the license plate, or leaving the key in the car, it no longer makes the beeping sound outside the vehicle anymore. However, the horn will still honk if the car is locked with the key fob. I've tried holding the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob to silence the alarm, etc., and turning it back on, but it hasn't changed anything. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what could be wrong, and how to fix it? Thanks ahead.

I'm not sure if you need a consult tool to change that, or not....paging @BurntOrangeAppeal

The outside chime gets its power from the "ELECTRONIC PARTS" fuse under the dash. But so does ALOT of other stuff. Only the outside intelligent key chime not working? If so then that fuse is fine. Ground comes from the intelligent key unit.

To sum it up, it is either the fuse, intelligent key chime, intelligent key unit, or wiring. If the car has not been in a front end collision then its doubtful that wiring is the issue.

The battery in the key has been replaced. The chime/buzzer/whatever hasn't worked since I hit a deer. The passenger headlight, grille, bumper, and hood had to be replaced. Is it possible that the chime needed to replaced by the body shop, too? Is the chime located in that area? What exactly would it be called in order for me to research how much it would cost to replace it? Full coverage would have paid for it, but this has been nearly two years ago now. The body shop told me it was probably just a setting, and to check with the Nissan dealership (which I never did, for some reason.)

The chime box is located above the bumper support and to the left of the radiator. You should be able to see it with the bumper removed. Best bet is to see if the wiring is damaged in the area first and see if you have power and ground when it should be chiming. If you have power and ground them replace the chime box with one from a part out on the forum or a salvage yard. Doubt you will find it on google.
