Default Non Maxima Related Engine Question

Hey guys, so my dad called me and told me to check how much o2 sensors were for his suv, he has an 03 Nissan pathfinder, I'm sorry I'm posting this on a maxima forum but I know nothing about stuff like that. So my general question is how much would it cost a mechanic to replace all 4? or how hard is it to change? Can anyone give me a link to a good priced o2 sensor, thank you!

The pathfinder front sensors are usually a PITA....book time for labour breakdown is as follows

Front:
One sensor =1.8 hrs
both =2.1 hrs

Rear:
both sensors=1.1 hrs

For sensors probably Rock auto..... or dealer. Im in Canada, maybe someone else can chime in.

Disregarding the time needed for this job, do you think it's do-able? He has some experience with engine stuff and I'm pretty good with tools, the closest mechanic is charging $500 and I think that's a little exaggerating

Everything is possible with the right tools......
....If you have these to get the job done you have a successful day for sure..

oxygen sensor socket
oxy torch or regular propane torch
7/8 or 22 mm wrench stubby
oxygen sensor retreader....

you might not need these items but i cant see the condition of your Pathfinder sensors/exhaust and where is has been driven...snow belt etc...this makes a huge difference.

I don't have the reader I do have the socket and the rest of the tools, the suv has 122,xxx miles and never has seen snow if that helps?

I would highly recommend a scan tool. Codes don't always show the entire face of the problem...viewing sensor activity is hands down the most precise diagnostic....and saves you money in he long run by not replacing parts just guessing. Shop around in your are. A reputable shop should probably charge you half hour labour one hour most to scan your sensors....
