Default Need Help, I Have A Wheel Spacer Problem!

What's up fellas! As some of you may know I've been working alot on the fitment of my car. I got 20mm spacers for the front of my 350z but the problem is I have aftermarket wheels and the inside of the wheel does not have the holes for the studs to fit inside of. I have hubcentric spacers that already have the studs mounted inside of them (bolt on). So I bolted them down and the spacer locking nuts and my original studs extend about 5 mm so my wheel does not sit flush with the spacer. So obviously I took them off and currently driving it without the front spacers. Should I just go ahead and get 25mm spacers so it can sit flush or is there a way to shave down the studs? I want to avoid that, but I was also thinking of adding a 5mm spacer on top of the 20mm just to get that extra clearance.

Any suggestions?

I would avoid shaving the studs down I wouldn't add a spacer though. I would buy a solid one piece. Multiple pieces leave areas open to failure.

So you're saying to just buy a 25mm spacer?

The inside of most wheels have a cut out or a provision for the extra studs of the wheel spacers, his XXR's do not.

You might want to check out the 350Z forum for this @Kenny.

Is there anything I can do? I reaaallly don't want to let these spacers go to waste they're a perfect fit. 25mm will be too much for my setup, 5mm will make a huge difference that I don't want

Why don't you get the spacers that come with the extended replacement lugs instead of the bolt on ones since your wheels won't accept 20mm bolt ons? I'm currently using the H&R DRS series spacers on my fronts and have been for many years.

As far as pricing goes, you have to take into account the studs as well. Quality studs aren't cheap, and should probably cost at least around $4 a piece.

@Kenny, The best spacers to go with are the ones that have extended studs, but the bolt-ons. Those are the only ones I've ever used on any car I had. They have many benefits, even though it might be some work to install. They're well worth it and provide more stability, regardless of road conditions.

When you use the bolt-ons, your wheels are putting their weight on the spacer itself. If you extend your studs, you'll get support from the hub itself, which is mounted and held together in different angles.
