Default Motor Mounts

I recently had my 07 serviced at the dealership for an ebrake issue..Before I left I was told that I had some bad motor mounts that need replacing. I hear some noise when shifting from park to drive and also when turning. The service advisor seemed honest about the problem and he quoted me a a considerable amount. Anyone with some advice on what I should do or where I can take my car to get this done that would not ask for an arm and a leg to get this done?? I live in the Dallas area and any info I can get would be greatly appreciated.

How much are they charging you? I had mine done at the dealer. Im pretty sure they replaced 2 for around 400.00. It was all warranty work but if I recall the bill was a little less than 400.00.

It was right about 400.00. I was told the warranty expired on my car while it was under the previous owner and that is no longer covered. I was given the option of adding a warranty that would cover this work for the cost of 2,000.00.

I dont know what kind of a warranty it is,but you might want to consider it. I had motor mounts changed twice and my AC system had a complete meltdown. That would have cost me around 3500.00 from the dealer.

I will definately buy the warranty. Mounts always go wrong. Under the warranty, I had them replace like 3 times. Also, my rack and pinion was replace. The rack and pinion job was close to $1000 job. I had other little jobs done to my car as well. Overall, more thank 2K was spend on doing dearship work. Another good thing is that you get warranty on their service.

Thanks guys. I went on to the Nissan Warranty site and went ahead and purchased the warranty. The service guy I last talked to said it was a pretty simple process getting the repairs done once the warranty was purchased. My car will very soon be seeing the Nissan Service repair department again.
