Default MAF Sensor

Has anyone tried using a 5th gen maf sensor on a 6th gen?? Don't remember where in here, but I think somebody has done it before.
I'm replacing mine, but want to make sure if I can go with the 5th gen (5 pin connector).
Thanks!

I thought they had different shapes at the pin heads. Except maybe the entire unit is swapped. But then you might have to contend with compatibility issues. The 5, 5.5, and 6th gens do have different part numbers for the MAF.
