Default Intelligent Key Issue

I have a 2008 SL it has the turn ignition.. I can use it to unlock lock doors if I aim it right, the door buttons aren't responding and the ignition won't turn without me taking the key out and physically stick it in and turn. Is there something I can do or do I need it preprogrammed?

It really just sounds like you need a new battery. Something very similar happened to me a couple months ago

Default Re: Intelligent Key Issue

In the instrument cluster, a red key means that there is no communication with the intelligent key and ignition can not be turned. Green solid key means good communication. Green blinking key means that the battery in the key fob is getting low.

I usually got about a year and a half out of the battery in the key fob.
