Default Help Changing Radiator Hoses

Well my car is leaking radiator fluid and the stealership is telling me that I need to replace the lower hose. Is there only two hoses that can be replaced top and lower? How hard would it be to do? I searched and there is no write-up and was thinking of replacing them with sillicone hoses but I don't know the benefits. Any advice would help.

Very easy to do. Make sure you buy coolant too, you will lose most of it when you remove them, unless you drain the radiator in a nice and clean container and re use the coolant. If you look in there, you will see how easy this is.

Thanks but my question is are there only two main hoses, the upper and lower, that need to be changed and what are the benefits of sillicone hoses.

yes a upper and lower hose ,

silicone hose is a good replacement but the OE hose will do just fine

I suggest you replace the thermostat too while you have those off.

That's the same thing the dealership told me, except I have to
replace the top one. I tried replacing it yesterday but the clamps
were pain in the a** to get off, so I decided to leave it lol. Any suggestions
to getting the clamps off is appreciated.

What sort of issue are you having? Are they just the normal screw type?

I'm assuming they are stock spring type clamps. Its a PITA without pliers made for the job but can be done depending if you have clearance. Google ASTRO 9409A that's what I use for PIta jobs.

switch to T bolt Clamps (not much at your local autozone) from the spring clamps ... they're a POS
