Default Figuring Out What This Is

Hi everyone. I have an '04 max and lately the P1402 code has came up. I know what that is, and I haven't had time to take it for service so it has been sitting in my driveway for sometime, I had found a mouse nest in my engine and I cleaned it and used some moth balls to repel the mouse away but I was wondering if you guys could help me out by figuring out what this is (I had found it underneath the car) and where it was used for I think the mouse might have chewed it off.

The wire is red with a blue line.

I'm sorry if someone else posted about this.. I tried searching but failed.
Thank you in advanced!

You got me there...but I see wires, which means it had to be connected somewhere...maybe Alan (Nizmo) will chime in when he gets a minute.

If I had to guess it looks like a plug with a broken wire on it.

I wanna say thats the plug for your Oil Pressure Switch , its behind the block , if you jack the car up , its on the passenger side, next to your oil filter, right above the passenger axle,

You might be able to see if with the wheels all the way Left ,

Don , I could be wrong you know

but yeah it has a rubber boot, and the only thing off the top of my head that uses that is the knock sensor and oil pressure sensor,

our Knock sensor is on TOP of the block, so I can eliminate that , the other thing I've seen this kind of boot is for the starter , but the wires are too thin for that.

You know we can almost make this thread * NAME THAT PART * thread
