Default Display Not Working

So today I decided to put in my PAC so I could use my steering wheel controls but it seems something went wrong. Once I put everything together and turned the key to accessory, none of my electronics worked. Not even the gauge cluster. So I disconnected everything, connected everything the way it was, and still nothing. Then I decided to check the fuses, so after I checked all the applicable ones (none were bad), I turned the ignition back on and everything worked again except for the upper screen on the dash. I didn't have the computer or anything connected when I was working on the car, so I don't see how I could have fried the computer in there or anything.

I'm at a loss at this... the screen doesn't turn on, and the climate controls won't respond to anything. They're stuck on whatever it decides to put up there. It's like there's no screen connected.

It's gonna suck if I have to bring this to Nissan to figure out the problem. I don't want another thousand dollar bill, and this time it would be my fault that it's broken.

Any help would be appreciated.

You probably forgot to plug one of the plugs back in. I've done that before.

I'm gonna make sure all the pins are in their respective housings securely. I was pulling on a couple of them a bit to get a little extra working room and might have pulled one a little loose. Hopefully.

I hope that the display or control assembly aren't bad. I was looking at parts online and those run around 1,000 dollars each. Ridiculous how much that stuff costs...

What year is your car? Also, if you need any of these parts, they're on Ebay all the time...you don't need to pay dealer prices. If you do need to get anything from the dealer, hit up Raul (MrDolla), and he can hook you up.

Thanks, I didn't even think about that. The display is pretty cheap, but I'm also looking for the control assembly (the white box that is just below the climate control buttons). Any idea on what it may be listed under?

I've got an 07, so my console is a little different....got a pic of the part you're talking about? You sure you don't have any blown fuses? Did you check all 3 fuse panels?

There's 2 in the engine bay. One is just to the left of the battery as you are looking under the hood, and the other is on the passenger side, right near the windshield washer reservoir.

Ah, Jeez I'm dumb.

I went back and looked through the third fuse box you told me about (I learn something new every day) near the washer fluid
reservoir, and checked them all and they're good. Then I went back to recheck the ones in the passenger compartment and, while I was comparing them to the list on the back of the cover, I noticed that I put one in the wrong place when I was originally troubleshooting. Now it's working.

Sorry for the trouble guys. I work with electronics on my aircraft all the time.. I'm ashamed of my troubleshooting skills at the moment.

Mods, feel free to close the thread. No more advice needed.

It happens. Simple things like that can be overlooked and can make your life a living hell until you figure them out. But once you do you realize it wasn't that big, and most of the time it's a simple fix. You live and learn. Glad it's all working.

I'm glad you got it sorted out and it was a simple fix! Also, it's big of you to step up and admit the oversight!

As far as my gauge mods...you can always feel free to send me your parts
