Default Buying a Maxima

Hi guys,
Im entering the market for a 2004 Nissan Maxima. This is my first time buying a Maxima and have I have a few questions.

1. Difficulty and cost of installing an AUX Audio input.

2. Modification options. Beyond the standard mods (cold air intake and such), what is the possibility regarding the installation of a turbocharger or supercharger.

3. Things to look out for when buying, specific to the car. Are there any common problems.

4. What is a decent price. I have seen quite a few listed at around $3000 but some are priced at up to $6000. What is a fair price for a decent condition car.

Thanks for the Help guys.

Knowing what i know now. If i were in the market for a over 100k maxima i would make sure the timing chain was changed.

Aux input - i don't know the 04s did not have one.

I know of one turbo maxima.

Going on this, I wouldn't buy a 04 maxima again.
Timing chain, weak bottom end, 5sp trans is shitty.
I would possibly buy one with a 6sp, but not with an auto.

Based on what you guys are saying, i think ill look for a 2007 to save the hassle of installing an aux input and the timing chain.

thanks bros.

I just wish the 07 didn't mean you had to give up your balls. I hate CVT trans and really wish they would have gave an stick shift option for them.

Some love them. CVT is a great trans when designed correctly and they last. I have one in my rzr. I just like a stick shift for car. Main reason, it keeps me off my phone while driving as I have both hands always busy. Second, I have always gotten better MPG than EPA standards with a stick. Plus, nothing beats revving it out, drop the clutch and smoking tires then grabbing 2nd and roosting them again.
