Default Battery Amperage

Pardon my ignorance guys, I'd like to know the battery amps required for our Max. I can't see it any where in the manuals----owner's or FSM. Someone thought it was 75amps. How true?
Again, I read somewhere that the Max uses a 110 amp alternator.
Pls guys, what are the facts?

Why do you need to know the "minimum amps required" for our car? What are you trying to do?

My battery crapped out about 3 weeks ago. I went to AutoZone and got the biggest that would fit the tray. They have a "Commercial" line of batteries sold at their commercial desk that have higher CCA than what they sell off of the floor. My battery cost me $75, and I think it was 750 CCA. It is a DuraLast Gold with the yellow top.

Ok. I'll see how it goes with my battery vendor tomorrow. I didn't realize this was an unknown subject. I'll keep the house posted when I have it fixed.

It's not necessarily and unknown subject, as much as a "not-need-to-be-known" or an irrelevant to your needs subject.

You go to you're nearest battery place, tell them what car you have and you want the most amps available. They will then han you a battery. You don't need to know the minimum amount of amps. Plus, the batteries have two specifications. Cranking amps and cold cranking amps.

People come to this board to seek for information; it's not right for anyone to rate any search irrelevant. If you don't feel inclined to give precise information on a subject, then by Jove ignore it.

All I'm saying is don't out yourself in any more stress than you need. I didn't mean to sound like I was putting you off. Just trying to make things simpler.

The question what are you seeking for ?

Cold Cranking Amps on the battery ?

what Voltage should the battery be at ?

Take the equation of the alternator out.

Normally like others said , the battery place will basically give you the proper battery with cca.

Yap. Got a new battery now. The battery guy recommended 75AH. The one replaced was 60AH (not oem). He said the alternator amp was 100, but I guess that's of little consequence since it will well enough cope with the battery.
I guess that's it guys, thanks.

I guess we all know the answer now , but for as long as Ive been messing with performance cars, I never really thought twice about that.

most of the cars Ive own and currently ones, either has a small battery, relocated battery and the alternator winded to higher amperage.

glad you got it fix !
