Default Audiovox Mediabridge Install Is Affecting Speedometer?!

Hey everyone. I've searched everywhere trying to find a solution to my issue.

Bought a Audiovox Mediabridge (AMBR-1500-NIS) to be able to connect my iphone/iPod etc to my 05's Bose Non-Nav factory head unit.

T-Harness is provided, and it plugs into what appears to be the Sat radio plug (I think?), with the factory plug being popped into the receptacle on the T-Harness. Radio works fine this way, until I connect the Mediabridge module.

Once the module is connected, the radio does not operate at all. Won't turn on (or off, tried it both ways), and the bigger issue: when the module is connected and car is moving the speedometer will occasionally drop down to zero then pop back up to my current speed! Happens about it nice every 5 minutes or so.

Audiovox has an App for the iPhone that when iPhone is connected to the module, you are able to communicate with the module. When connected, the App does not show the unit as bezing connected.

I'm hoping maybe someone out there has seen this issue before, or perhaps someone can give me some insight as to why this may be happening and/or a potential fix. My first thought is the unit and/or harness is defective, but before I go through the steps to send it back and reorder, I wanted to check with the DIY experts here

The Mediabridge is a discontinued product, but it says it will work with my Max, and I upgraded to the current Firmware through Audiovox's website as well. I'm really hoping this will work out, because it was only $80 (org $250!), and it also has Bluetooth built in as well as coming with a microphone for hands-free Bluetooth calling and Siri operation.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Well, I wish I could delete this post because I figured out the issue. The module needs to be connects directly into the Sat Tuner at the rear deck. Unfortunately the sound quality isn't that great at all, and I can't seem to get Sirius to come on at all. I think I'm going to return this unit and get something more up-to-date. Too bad, I was really hoping it would work!
