Default 6000k Mains, (4300K Fogs?)

Hey yall I read a lot of posts and it seems that many are rocking all 6000k kit main, and fogs. I just installed 6000k and still have stock fogs. I am trying to go towards functionality and looks. I want to have that little bluish look but as we know the fogs fills in whatever the headlights doesn't and can't decide on 4300k ( might be a little yellow) when compared to 6000k. Is the 5000k an option? Anyone rocking this setup?

I'm pretty sure I've seen various setups, including what you've got. I think some have even gone lower on the K scale to get true functioning (yellow) fogs.

It's all about what you want man, if you do it with quality and attention to detail, just about anything looks good.

Personally, with the closeness of the lamps & fogs on the 04-06s, I think a color variance looks good.

10. higher up on the K rating, the less output you get. 4300K-6000K and even kinda 8000K have great output.

3000K cuts through rain and fog the best.

My fogs are always on. I don't think they help too terribley with out in front of the car...my headlights do a pretty good job with that...but they do light up a wider area off to either side of the headlights.

Yeah mine light up the sides more and little bit of tthe front. I think its just the location of the fogs. If they were placed lower I think the fogs would be more useful.

I also forgot to mention, does it matter having a 35 vs 55watt in fogs? I heard thata 55 watt might get too hot. Does any one have this issue?

guy i work with used to work for nissan for 13 years. and apperntally if you use 55w they have a good change of melting the connectors from the body harness to the headlight harness. i use 35wat 6000k headlights and 3000K for fogs and with my fogs on, there's bright as hell. so no need for 55w IM0....

35w in the fogs is plenty bright...as stated, 55w may melt the lens, and the harness.
