You dont have to spend a ton of money to make improvements to your car.

9 CHEAP/EASY MODS

1. Painting Engine Plastics Whats Needed: Scuff Pad, 1-2 Spray Cans of High Temp Paint, 1 Spray Can Clear Coat. Cost $15-20.

2. Tinting/Blacking out cornering lights (04-06) Whats Needed: 1 Spray Can of Niteshade or Black paint. Cost $6.00.

3. Painting Console/Interior pieces Whats Needed: Scuff Pad, 1-2 Spray Cans of High Temp Paint, 1 Spray Can Clear Coat. Cost $15-20.

Yup............and another one would be to paint the stock grille. Especially for 6.5's because of the 100% plastic grille, it's even cheaper....

i want to paint my engine covers, but i really dont know the process. is there a write up by anyone thats done this? i already know what i have to get for paint, just need to know steps on doing it so it comes out looking good.

1. Scuff up the surface with a scuff pad.
2. Wash the surface with soap and warm water
3. Rinse and Dry the surface.
4. Start painting - very light coats - wait 10/15 minutes between coats.
5. When you are satisfied hit it with 1 clear coat and you are done.

Don't forget to let the paint dry for at least a couple of hours before the clear coat.

is this hard to keep clean???.i mean painting them white??,there is a lot of dust in there!!.but i like it very nice mod.

*cough* KCMAXX RSB! *cough*


Shortening the shifter gives a total different feel/look.

Interior LED's can be relatively cheap.

I still think im the only one who removed the door guards (about 6 years ago) Looks great...

For the price, the rear window spoiler sets it off.

And although most dont believe/listen, a grounding kit really does make a nice difference on our cars. I have under $20 in mine. The MPG and throttle response is immediate.

Question, if I take my gauge cluster off to paint it, will I have to reset the needles even though I'm not gonna remove them?? Does unplugging the cluster do anything negative to the needles?
