Default Undercarriage Cleaning

Just curious do any of the car washes around you guys do undercarriage wash also, or do any of you clean under your car? I have never taken my car to a car wash nor let neone else wash my car, but when I was in the gas station the other day they had the list price for the car wash up and it has an underbody wash, not that I plan on doing it but just curious on the boards opinion about it or if anyone has done it.

Default Re: Undercarriage Cleaning

I used to do this on my 4x4 truck to get all the mud off the bottom. Used a small sprinkler that I used for my yard. Stuck it under there to cover half part of my truck for few hours and then the other half. I know Maximas are a lot lower then my 4x4 but you can pull the front up on ramps and do the front. Then back it up on the ramps and do the rear.

I always got this done before I lowered my max and had the 02 sensors moved under the car. Now I don't get this option... Mainly bc of the 02 sensors.

Isnt there a way you can protect the sensors? Maybe having the connections shrink wraped with rubber covers like they do with the ends of the grounding kits?
