Does touchless car washes work better than the average car washes or even by hand? because nothing rubes your paint?

I use the touchless car wash once or twice a week. Hand wash once a month. Claybar and wax 2 times a year.

Do not take your car to those touch less car washes. It will not loose all the dirt and you will end up having a lot of swirls marks all over yours car. I have a dark color car and i wash it home all the time. i have a pressure washer with MTM foam fence bottle with Chemical guys maxi stud ii soap. This is what i do i spray on the soap let it sit for 5 mints i will help loose the dirt. Rinse it off. Spray the soap back on the car and use micro fiber pad.

If you hand wash and wax you car as often as I do then you can get away with it. Swirl marks usually come from people using the foaming scrub brush or hand drying it with out using the scrub brush. Either way you lose. It's just common sense.

Same problem here in El Paso, But I now wash at night! so no water spots for me. Still doesn't stop it from getting dirty in 3 days or less.

I remember one time I parked my car at a friends house one night and her sprinklers came on and left white spots all over it. Here in florida we use reclaimed water for lawn watering. Its basically the water that is left after its been treated at the sewage plant. I had to use vinegar on the glass and my machine polisher to get the spots out from the paint.

You shouldn't be washing your car in the direct sunlight. I always wash my car in the mornings when I have some shade covering my driveway. Also, if you "flood" the car with the hose when you are done washing it, it will help keep the water spots to a minimum. When I am done washing my car, I remove the hose nozzle, and just let the water run over all of the body panels of the car.
