Default Meguiar's Rubbing Compound

just wanted to give a heads up, i had a few little nicks or scratches on my max.. picked this up yesterday at advance auto parts for 6 bucks along with some terry cloth towels. (thats what it recommends) just follow directions and work in small areas and literally everything came out.. i was amazed.. and its not for just scratches its for any stubborn spot or stain and it clears it fully.. just wanted to share.. i feel like my max has a brand new clean body

Was this Meguiars UC 2.0 (Ultimate Compound?).

Also, ScratchX will remove blemishes, oxidation etc. as well.

Don't forget to put polishing compound on them afterwards. Finish it off with wax.........Just my 2 cents.

It doesn't do anything negative. What the polishing compound does is give it a little more shine and basically finishes up where the rubbing compound left off. Then you put some wax to seal it and further protect all the hard work that you put in to it. Essentially keeping it that way from the abuse that paint has to go through due to the weather.

Hope that helps.

Well, if it has been a while then I suggest getting one in there. It will protect the paint against the sun, heat, etc. Here's the thing, how much or when you wax your car depends on you and the product that you are using. Some people do wax their cars once a year, others half a year. Finally, there are people like me that wax their cars every week, few weeks or a month depending on the product that is used.

Obviously, if your using something like Pinnacle than it will be every week. Since it's a highly priced (because of the finish and % of it being real carnauba wax) and premium product. People often put this stuff on a pedestal BUT it doesn't last to long unfortunately compared to some products that are cheaper but delivers higher durability. Also, giving you a very descent finish (can be comparable to Pinnacle).
