Default What Size XXR's To Buy

I know, I know, the "what size wheel should I get?" question has been asked a million times. I have searched for months, however, and have never seen anyone ask a question like this, nor have I seen something that may answer this question.

Anyway, I plasti dipped my '04 SE wheels black to see if I would like them, and I do! So I'm looking at a set of XXR 530's in flat black and, since I'm pretty poor, I'm wanting to go with 18's. I would like some of your experienced opinions on whether or not these will look too small on my car.

The SE wheels don't have a lip on them, which helps the wheels look bigger, and the XXR's don't have much of a lip to speak of either. Also, I think the black wheel face and the black tire sidewall kind of go well enough together to make it seem like the wheel itself is a bit bigger than 18. That's what I need confirmation on, whether or not it really does look like a good fit for the huge, bulky car that is the 6th gen Maxima.

One last thing- I'm lowered on Progress Springs. If that makes any difference at all.

Also, it's nice to finally come out of lurking. Like I said, I've been checking out this site fairly regularly since I got my Max a year ago. Thanks guys!

I would say go for it..the 18x8.75 +33 would fit perfect. The wheels I am running are pretty similar and they are 18x9 +42 with a 255/45/18, I am also lowered so it should look good.

Actually Tarmac, I saw a pic of your car maybe 8 months or so ago and have wanted wheels with that design ever since. I think they look awesome on yours and always wondered what size they were. Could you maybe throw up some pics of your Maxima from a few different angles (side, rear quarter, etc)? It would be much appreciated, man.

@kaleb, did not get a chance to take some new shots but here are some when I first got the wheels, tires at that time were 245/45/18

If I did my sizes right on a fitment calculator the 18x8.75 +20 will be flush with the rear fender and poke over an inch in the front.

Hey guys, bringing up an old thread again because I've been doing some more thinking about wheels. I can't decide if I should go with black or silver wheels, and I'd like an opinion from some of you guys if you don't mind.

So the pics of how my car currently look are in the original post, and here are some before I plastidipped the wheels black. Looking at the old ones, I'm almost tempted to go with silver again but want to see what you guys think. Thanks.
