Default Are These Wheels Shot?

These 20in TSW wheels came with the Cadillac SRX my wife bought. It was used and it looks like someone drove them all year around. The Mag Chloride took it's toll.

Can anything be done to salvage them? Strip and powdercoat, re-chrome what do you guys think?

Plastidip will hide all imperfections temporarily vs. Paying a arm and a leg to powder coat them

They're probably restorable, but might not be worth it for those wheels. You'd have to have them professionally dechromed before doing any type of refinishing, and from what I remember is somewhat expensive.

Expensive to get the chrome removed but doable. Prob can get new wheels for the price...search around locally for shops that do repair.

Thanks for the advice guys.

I found a local shop that does powder coating. They quoted me on a different set of wheels that were already powder coated to strip and re-coat. $100 per wheel.

I am going to take one of these over there and see what they say.

The 5th pic shows some significant rust damage but only way to know for sure is to have them sand blasted first and get to bare metal. Then decide what to do. Around my area some shops charge 18 bucks per wheel to sand blast. 80 is better then 400, only to find out that they are too damaged.

Took one of them over today, local powder coating gurus will strip and powder coat for $100 a wheel. So $400 out the door doesn't seem to bad, but the Mrs likes her new Helos, so I wonder if it might be worth it to get them powder coated and try to sell them?

I can pic the color, probably go black on them. TSW Heaven 7 20x8.5
