Default Cost Effective Way To Get New Wheels And Tires

I'm looking for advice on how to get the best deal on a set of wheels and tires. My tires are wearing out, so I'll need some within the next couple of months. What is the best case scenario for some tires and wheels? I'm thinking the answer might be scoring a set of wheels/tires off the forum? I am guessing that I'll find a better deal if they come together, rather than buying them separately. Any advice is great!

Sometimes package deals are nice as long as you don't have to replace the tires. Also look into local shops. I know Goodyear here services the local police cars which are chargers. The use a 235 45 18 and change tires every 30k or 50k which is not a lot due to milages being around town. I buy these near perfect tires at 40 a peice. Check around for local deals at you shops or try tire rack, direct tire and other whole sale tire sites

Thanks for the advice...I'll start looking. What price range would be a good deal for a combo on Craigslist? I see them on here for around $1000...I'd hope to find something cheaper. There is a set of G37 wheels on CL nearby me for $500, no tires, but how does that sound for price?

It just depends on condition of rims. Any curb rash, bent or damaged, center caps included if any. Look online and add that price to tires. If rims are 500 and tires are 500 is 1000 a good price to you? I'd say offer 450 worse case is he say no I need 500

I guess what I was saying is I have no idea what a good price is...

Infiniti G37 19" Coupe Wheels FOR SALE

Check those out if you don't mind...any downside to curb rash besides aesthetics? I was thinking about making a lowball offer, not sure how much they're worth.

If you plan on painting them then you can get rid of the curb rash and I still am not sure on price . Ask bottom dollar cash and offer a little lower than that and hagle with him. I'd say 350 after seeing pics. I have 250 for mY staggered 350 z wheels I had on my 4th gen. And that was with tires that lasted a year

Expect to pay about 900+ for decent 19in tires, 20s are cheaper, and discount tire if you have one local is a good place the check out.

nice..that's what I'm talking about for price! 2 more questions if you don't mind.

1. I just did a quick google search and found those, but if I just go down to my local tire shop will they be able to order these for me instead? (I'm 24 but I've never actually bought tires before).
2. If I was to buy these G37 wheels, will those fit? I've been trying to read more about the subject, but still don't know much about fitting tires with wheels with maximas haha.

You can get a set of 18" wheels/tires combo off of TireRack for around $1000-$1200 depending on the specific wheel and tire that you choose.
