Default Beefy Wheels

Hey Members,

TITLE SAYS IT ALL! I NEED SOME ADVICE ON SPECS. FOR BEEFY WHEELS.

- I'm currently running on 235/40/18 in the front and 235/45/18 in the back. My wheels are 18 x 8 aftermarkets. I think they look very small in terms of width and overall size in comparison to the car and would like to make the wheels look much bigger/beefy. Any suggestions?

Current spec of wheel: 18 x 8.

- Would 255/45/18 make it look beefy? Is there a thread of how to make "beefy wheels'?

i guess it kinda depends on how far you want to go. Do you just want to be flush or have some poke? Its not exactly the sidewall size that makes the wheel look big. I would get at 19s and wider wheels. I personally have 370z wheels so they are
19x9 - 235/40/19
19x10 - 245/45/19
i have 25mm spacers on the front so im flush all around. I would start with bigger and wider wheels. Im also quite low on coils with virtyally no wheel gap. Why dont you give us an example of what you want and it would be easier to help

19x10 - 245/45/19 (ISNT THIS STRETCHED??)

- I don't really want to put spacers at all. At least flush or some poke would be nice. I use to have 19 x 8.5 (245/40/19) and they were almost flush, but they're too expensive so I went back to 18s. I also, don't want to put coils or anything, Keeping it stock suspension. Here's a pic. of how I want it to look:

There's so much science in choosing the right rim and tire size. What purpose you gonna use it for. For example show, race, daily, and how much do you intend to use the car. Stretched look are nice but it wears your tires down. That 235 is really thin and it will look funny unless you're on coils or really low. 18X8 is kinda thin and it will look too simple especially if it's an aftermarket rims. I'd sugges 18X9 with a 245/45R18 tire all the way around and you'll get a nice stance, great comfort, and good stretch.

WOW that is exactly how I want it to look! But that means i have to go purchase new set of wheels, which I dont really want right now. Any ideas to make it look beefy/meaty with what I have now? 18 x 8? Any specific tires? specs. for tires that would make my wheels look beefy with what I have now?

- I plan on having it for just a regular everyday use. And what exactly do you mean by 18 x 8 is too "simple" ?

I thought you had 19s. And sucks you don't want to buy a new set of wheels. I was going to say get 255/40/19. My stock wheels and tires were 18X7.5 with 245/45/18. I changed my wheels to 19x8 and 255/40/19. My stance is not as flushed as the one on here, but my stance looks beefier with the slightly wider tire. So, choose a wider tire. 255 will fit on your 18s.

Your running a smaller tire size than stock already. 2454518 is stock size and that will help.

So says latinmaxima, so it shall be!
