Default 2005 maxima and viper 5901

Hey guys and gals. My maxima has recently started acting up with my viper 5901 starter/alarm combo. Sometimes it works perfect and then there are times when I try to start either hot or cold and I'll hear the accessories click on and a quick click of the starter but no turn over. When that happens I jump in the car and use the key and it cranks over and starts no problem. There are also times where it's running with the autostarter and all of a sudden it would shut down and then restart itself. Please let me know how to check this out or if there is a diy or wiring diagram for the maxima with a viper 5901 so I could make sure things are connected correctly.

Hey man, I talked to the place that installed it and they said that it is almost 100% of the time a weak battery. I am going to switch my battery from a no brand to a Yellow top/ red top. I forget which one I have a spare of, but I will let you know! He said that it tricks the car into thinking it doesn't have enough power or something. SORRY it took me so long to reply.

No problem at all. Let me know I've got a battery that's like 9 months old so if that's the case it's going back for a new one.

Hope the battery replacement does the trick.

The routing of the amp power wire over top of the intake tube is concerning though. Under hard acceleration there is some movement right there as the motor is put under load. Would hate to see it slowly get pulled out of the set screw on the fuse block and ground out. Safer route would be underneath the intake tube.

I tighten it about once a week just to be safe. It's been like that for almost 6 months at least. I have a nismo cai in mail, so hopefully it's a better fit and I can shove it under
