Remeber im not done yet is not painted i just fit it to the car,right now is all ready to go i have all holes drilled.I was able to use all the covers,some cutting and drilling is needed to make the wheel covers work but its better to have them on.

what do you mean you have to paint it ?

Like i said im far from being done,i thought about getting a different grill but i dont see anything i like.i have some ideas im going to work on them 2morro ill put some pics n see what u all think.

That lip came out better then I had imagined but man that sits low. I would trash that in one day.

Im at 4.5" from the ground to the lip,i have teins on so if you have stocks springs you should be like at 6" or higher.
Im going to get some 19" wheels for the summer that should make higher off the ground right?
Now that i been driving around the car with the bumper and lip i notice some difference.......ppl really notice the ride man,its been turning some heads also i havent scratch the lip yet.
I went to a body shop to get a price on painting the bumper,got quote $400 is that too much??? dude said he will do a 4 step process to make it look like it just came out of the factory. primer,base coat,3 coats of color,2 coats of clear.

I'm not telling you what to do, but I checked with Maaco and they'll do exactly the same thing for $275. Just a suggestion.

That's why many people go to MAACO because its cheap. Not saying their work is bad... but you get what you pay for.

Any quality body shop that takes pride in their work charges anywhere from $300-$400. They prep the parts to be painted correctly. They take their time to make it right. Keep in mind that MAACO hardly does any prep work which is why their prices are so cheap. Its just paint right over what you want and have a good day.

If you just want your bumper painted without caring about its quality... then it should be no problem. Body work is something I'm very particular about now a days and expect the quality I'm paying for. Now anything more than $400 is just outrageous.

I got a quote of $275 for the bumper w/lip, which includes:

sanding
Primer
Flex
2 coats of paint
3 coats of clear coat.
for $275.

If the sh*t starts pealing or cracking, I'll just take it back.

besides, I had both quarter panels, rear bumper, both back doors repainted 2 years ago and i still don't have any issues.

A private shop is always going to charge you more because they are small.

I understand. Not saying their work is always bad. But they typically get more bad reviews than good. In your case it looks like it will be a good review. Remember different MAACO shops have different experience levels. Some have noobs, some have guys who've been doing it forever.
