Default No Tail Lights

Installed LEDs in head lights. Had rapid flash. Installed 6ohm resisters in both rear tail lights. Now I have no tail lights. Only brake lights work. No turn signals now either.

Help please!

I see that you posted in the diy led resistor thread. It clearly says you need 2 3ohms resistors not 2 6ohms.

In addition to the tail lights not working, do the P, R, D, etc. near the gear shifter no longer illuminate with the headlights turned on? If they don't then you probably have the same fuse blown as I once did. I can't remember the exact one but it's a 15amp and it's in under the hood in the passenger side fuse box, not the driver side box.

I'll take a look tomorrow, but there should be fuse descriptions on the underside of the fuse box cover.

This is the one. It's labeled "tail lamp" on the side of the fuse box lid. The box is hidden beneath the long plastic cover under the hood on the passenger side. Check it out.

Yo checked that fuse and it was blown. I replaced it. Still don't have tail lights or anything but brake lights.

I'd reverse mod them to when they were working and go from there again. Maybe you wired them wrong the first time or something's loose, touching, etc.

I'm no electrical guru but I think sticking a bigger fuse in it's place so it doesn't blow would just mask a problem or possibly lead to a bigger one.

I had the same problem when I put in leds. I found out my dome light switch was loose. Can you adjust your gauge cluster lights when you turn on your head lights? If not put in a new 15 amp fuse move the dome light to the off position and then check your lights again.

Don't know if you checked the turn signal fuse. In the fuse box, under the hood. When I installed mine, I had the same problem. Changed the fuse and everything, was back to normal. Hope it works out for you.
