Default Issue with Steering Wheel Lights

As far as I know I could not find this on the search feature.

So my steering wheel lights (the one that illuminate the buttons at night) are flickering whenever I turn the steering wheel to the LEFT. They often do not do this when I turn them to the right. Is this something where I need to pop off a cover and tinker with wires (with attention to detail so I don't mess up the airbag) or is there something someone knows that could cause this?

I confess I am not good with electronics and wiring so please ELI5. (Explain like I'm 5).

Thank you to anyone willing to help!

Sounds like a spiral cable issue. The horn might be the next victim.

There is a write up somewhere on how to remove and take apart the streering wheel, if there isnt a write up on how to do the coiled wires (I dont know the exact name) for a 6th gen there is one out there.
