How to Replace Your Xenon Bulbs

Detailed pictures on how to replace your xenon bulbs. I recently purchased 8000K bulbs and wanted to replace my factory 4300K bulbs.

As you can see, i did the whole operation without removing the front bumper. All screws are accessible by simply bending the inner fender cover towards to the tire and pushing out the front bumper a bit to gain access to the bottom headlight screws.

BE SURE TO UNPLUG YOUR CAR BATTERY BEFORE ACCESSING THE XENON BULBS!!!!!

If you have factory HID, then you need D2S bulbs.

I you have Halogens, then you need a HID kit.

I just swapped out my factory bulbs for some bulbs from DDM tuning. But they are pointed really far down. Is there any way to adjust the angle of the projectors?

55watt kits are available for D2S (stock hids). You would need both 55watt ballast and 55watt bulbs.

My driver's side bulb is working, but it looks rosy red and is not as bright as it used to be. Does this mean the bulb needs to be replaced?(I am thinking that it does) Also, can I put 8000K bulbs in without any problems? Thanks, Doug.

Yeah if you have stock HID's you can easily replace them to 8K.

That redish/pinkish color means they are done.

Okay sorry to revive an old thread. I found these: http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/HI...lacements-Pair and I want to know if they will fit directly in. I want to get the D2S in 5000k.

And Im guessing the factory ballast is 35w?

Hey all, im a noob here and I have a problem with my 2004 Nissan Maxima 3.5 SL....the driver side headlight has blown, as well as both fog lights on both sides....i have factory installed xenon bulbs. I find it weird that both fogs have blown together and was wondering what may be the reason behind this.... does anyone know where I can buy the Xenons from but ones that are brighter than the factory xenons?

Also, my headlights have a dingy faded look and was wondering how I could get that out, or if I would have to buy new headlights, and where I might be able to do that if need be...thanks!!

Search for Max Power, he's a member/vendor with some great HID kits. His prices are definitely worth a look, that's what I used to upgrade. He's got a thread promo'ing his products for sale around here somewhere.

Not sure if you'll find brighter though, most factory HIDs are 4300K. There is a slight difference between 6000K (what I have) but then after that, they lose usuable light.
