Default How to Paint Front Grille Mesh

This is a very easy process. The only reason i am putting it up is in case there is someone who is afraid to do it themselves. It is so simple that maybe actually reading this will encourage you to do it yourself!

1. pop these tabs out with a screwdriver or knife to remove the grille from your car(just pull up the middle piece eon the tabs)

2. Separate the mesh from the body of the grille. To do this you will see little metal clips, Just bend them straight up so you can pull the mesh straight up and off the body.

3. i always sand stuff down just to be safe. it also helps hold the paint better. so i sanded everything. then clean with soap and water and allow to dry.

4. Spray evenly from left to right across the mesh and/or body of the grille with the color of your choice (i used black). Spray 3 coats of black leaving a good amount of time between coats ( i usually wait 30 minutes or so to be safe).

4. repeat step 3 using clear spray paint to provide 3 clear coats for protection.(also leaving 30 minutes between coats for drying).

5. put the grille back together and install back on your car by reversing steps 1 and 2

PICTURES REMOVED!!

i used engine enamel paint for the black color and wheel coating paint for the clear...duplicolor...
