Default NEED HELP ASAP: Defective Racingline high flow pre cats

11 days after ordering my high flow cats i opened them and saw this. My inspection expires tomorrow and i need the cats installed asap. Do you guy's think these will still function correctly or will they just cause problems down the road? Ps i would definitely get a refund right away but i can't afford to wait another 11 days for a new one to be shipped. Does anyone know a way that this can be fixed?uploadfromtaptalk1427857147250.jpguploadfromtaptalk1427857171092.jpg

Is it just the one hole not cut right? Maybe toss it in there for a day to pass inspection and then get it replaced? or find a shady inspection place toss them $50 :D

I showed them to my mechanic/uncle and he said they should still be good enough but i would definitely return them for new ones if i had time. Im most likely just gonna install these and keep them but if something does go wrong with them then what could i do?

If you have another car, id park the max in the driveway/garage off the street and have racingline replace these with a prepaid shipping label.

If you cannot be a day without your car, then your shop could cut it off and weld a new bracket then drill holes and sand it down.

but id go with option 1 for sure

late to the party ( as usual) however there will be no chance for poor sealing, nothing is needed to install or change. I don't remember this set off hand but if the ends were cut like that it was likely due to a tool crash. Cutting the ends likely cleaned up the crash marks/ burrs. the lack of material in that location will not affect the way the bolts tighten or seal
