Default What Is The Name Of The Fog Light Switch I Need?

Hey guys so I finally got my fog lights but they only have a negative and positive wire, what is the switch called that I hook up to so I can turn it on and off manually. Or is there anyway that I can tap into any fuses so they turn on with my headlights with no switch.

This will fit in an open spot on the lower left dash, under the steering wheel. I've heard the color matches the factory amber dash light color.

Yes, that switch would work. No, I don't believe there is a how-to. They're fairly easy to do. Run a power wire from the battery to one terminal on the switch. Connect the positive wire of the lights to the other terminal on the switch and you're done! If the switch is lighted, it'll have a 3rd terminal on it that you connect to a ground so the light comes on when you turn the switch on.

Don't connect the fog lights straight to the battery unless you want to manually turn the fog lights on and off every time you enter/exit the car. If you tap into one of the fuses, you can limit the power of the fog lights to only when the car is on.

Get something like this fuse tap, which converts one fuse outlet into two. Instead of connecting the switch to the battery, you connect it to the wire on the fuse tap.

If you want to run both sets of fog lights at the same time, use that in the IPDM under the hood.
