Default Swapping Out Seats, Cloth To Leather, Need Help

I am in the process of swapping out my '05 cloth seats for '04 Leather seats....

This is a 2 part question,

the drivers side plugs line right up, no biggie, but the passenger side plug does not match at all. (my '05 passenger was manual and the leather is power) What wiring needs to be changed to make it work?

Also, the heated seat switches, I can't find where they would plug in.... I have a wire harness that came out of the donor car, but to be honest, I don't even see where it would plug in at.

Any help would be appreciated.

The 2004 and 2005 Max are different in the main wiring harness. The main wiring harness is what plugs the entire front section half of your car. By that, I mean everything from firewall to the back seats. If you're swapping for leather purposes, keep your old seats base and only switch the shell (cloth to leather).

There's no way you'll be able to wire the new seats into your car, simply because your main wiring harness is different than the donor car. Don't think about replacing your main wiring harness because that part alone is $1000, not including all the labor involved.

If you don't care about the power sliding on seat just swap the cloth seat base/track onto the passenger seat(lik bolt said). If you do then your gonna need an electrician to wire it up. Usually costs about 60-80 around here.

the drivers side looks like it will plug right in.... will it not work when plugged in?

The passenger side looks to have mostly the same plugs except the plug that powers the switches that is just a yellow and black wires... I was thinking about taping power into that and see if I can get the switches working... that still doesn't fix the issue though of the heating elements not working... Does anyone know how in the world the heaters even work? I don't even see how they would kick on because there's no plug for it from the switches.

as far as swapping out the harness, I don't care about that, If I knew what wires gave the switches power, what wires were for the heating elements on the seats, and what wires powered the power seat function then I'm just as happy just doing that.

update on this project. I got it all working perfectly without having to just give up and swap skins. I will do a write up when I get a chance. I didn't take pictures like I meant to, but I do have the color codes for the wires to give a better idea on what needs to be done. and I won't charge someone 80 dollars for the info

The thing to remember when doing this swap, if you swap it with '04 seats, they don't have the diaphram on the seat so you have to remove the diaphram from your existing seat and put it into your new seat. As far as wires, Yellow and Black are power, and the rest of the colors that are on the acutal heater switch are as follows...

Heat switches:
Should have 6 wires coming from them and the terminals labeled on the switch:

Drivers Switch:
Terminal 1 – Green w/ Red wire – Goes to Relay
Terminal 2 – Gray – Goes to Driver seat heater Terminal 1
Terminal 3 – Gray w/ Red – Goes to Driver seat heater Terminal 3
Terminal 4 – Black – Goes to Ground
Terminal 5 – Red w/ Lavender – Goes to dash Illumination
Terminal 6 – Red w/ Yellow – Goes to dash Illumination
Note: Terminal 2 of the seat heater goes to Ground

Passenger Switch:
Terminal 1 – Green w/ Red wire – Goes to Relay (same as driver switch)
Terminal 2 – Gray w/ Lavender – Goes to Passenger seat heater Terminal 1
Terminal 3 – Gray w/ Black – Goes to Passenger seat heater Terminal 3
Terminal 4 – Black – Goes to Ground
Terminal 5 – Red w/ Lavender – Goes to dash Illumination (same as driver switch)
Terminal 6 – Red w/ Yellow – Goes to dash Illumination (same as driver switch)
Note: Terminal 2 of the seat heater goes to Ground

My only issue at this point is that I didn't disconnect the battery when I pulled the seats out, so now I can't get the Airbag light to stop flashing.

Heres how to get rid of the airbag light:

My buddy has an 04 that he wants to sell. I was gonna trade him my cloth seats for his leather. I hope the wire colors are the same!
