Default Stock HID Flickering

Hey guys my stock passenger side HID has been flickering lately. I have a 04 SL Maxima. I suppose the Ballast is going bad, do you guys recommend a place to order the ballast from? I know there are various forum members that sell bulbs and whatnot. Also I was thinking about upgrading to 8000k bulbs since I have to change the ballast anyways might as well try something new, what do you guys think? Also whats a good HID fog light kit? Thanks dudes.

Well our stock ballasts are pretty much indestructible so run this little test before ya buy anything.

Swap the bulbs to the other side. Make the driver side bulb go to the pass side and the pass side go to the driver. If the bulb is still flickering, but on the other side now, then your problem is the bulb and not the ballast.

I recommend @Max Power. He sells quality kits and has a great warranty and customer service is A+.

Also remember, when you up your headlights to 8k you will lose some distance on the lights. 4300k-6000k is the optimal range to keep it in if you want functionality over looks.

As Nick mentioned...swap the bulbs and see if the problem follows the bulb. I wouldn't not recommend anything over 6K...you are going to lose light output, and at 8K it is going to be pretty blue.
