Default Replacement Bulb

I need to replace my halogen headlight bulbs. I bought some 9006 so called hyper whites. Which i like but for some reason on the maxima they are not that bright compared to other cars i have had with the same bulbs. I still have the factory bulbs. But i want a bulb with pure white look without the yellow tint. An as bright as possible with a halogen bulb. Anyone know a good bulb...

The Silverstars are supposed to be pretty bright, but I see a lot of people having trouble with their longevity.

My daughter has some of these in her VW, I don't think they are very bright at all. One of them only lasted less than 3 months. I wouldn't pay the extra money for them.

HID is the way to go. Its just a plug and play. Once you drop the bumper its very easy. Just make sure you seal them up well. Condensation can be a big problem.

I was going to suggest the upgrade to HID's as well, you don't have to worry about them not being bright enough, and you can select different intensities for a different output color. There's a thread around here about it, just do a search on it.

Which kit did you get?

Why would HIDs not allow you to pass inspection? I don't recall hearing that issue before.

I dont remember the exact size of the hole, it could have been an 1". As far as sealing it,use silicone. Make sure to seal it up very good. I helped a member here do his and we sealed the shit out of it,or at least we thought we did,but he still has some condensation.

Does any body know the part number for the light caps. I want to get a pair so if i ever want to switch back. I don't have to have the hole in the middle of it. Or do you have to buy a whole harness to get that one part. If so i will just make do.

As long as you do an or 6k or lower you won't have to change.. I had 10k and didn't pass... Have 6k now... 10k still in my fogs but when you go for inspection for the fogs... Just take out the bulbs completely out of socket and put them back in when you are done( that's for fogs only)
