Default Projector In Foglights?

Ok so I have hids in my Foglights and the other day I went to the retrofit source since I live 20 minutes from them and I asked the guy if he had any projectors that could go in the Foglights..he showed me some that were 60 and also some bi-xenon ones that cost more..question is would projectors in the Foglights make a diference? More light output? Does anyone have them?

The short answer is yes.
You would gain a lot of output if you were to upgrade to let say TSX Projector. You could use a E55 projector also but its much bigger in size. I would recommend Acura TSX projector. They are very compact and have a very crisp cutoff line. Problem will still be the fab work. I'm not familiar with the size of the oem 6.5 gen foglight. So I can't tell you how much room there is behind the bumper to expand the housing.

Sounds good. Lookin forward to an update. If I'm not mistaken you'd be the first with a foglight projector mod.

Default Re: Projector In Foglights?

I'm just curious as to whether or not it will be worth the cost. The fog lights are focused low to the ground to cut down on glare in inclement weather. Putting projectors into the fog housing and then focusing them higher will eliminate the purpose of the foglight, and I would think that it would be comparable to running a high beam headlight (perspective from behind the wheel I mean...)

I could be wrong...just thinking out loud! Kudos to you for doing this, and in for pics!!!

You also have to keep in mind that the projector you use will have to be sealed since it'll be out in the open. The blazers are popular fogs but don't last very long with an HID kit in it.
