Default Problem With V-leds and Their 3156/3157 Bulbs

So I recently purchased LED Switchbacks and cornering lights from V-Leds.

My problem is these bulbs are listed as fitting both 3156 and 3157 but they do not work in my housing as a cornering bulb. The OEM cornering bulb is the 3156 and my V-Led bulb seems to me more like a 3157.

If I break off 2 of the 4 wires on the 3157 to make it fit like a 3156 will this work?

I read somewhere about using the 3157 in a 3156 spot and causing a fire. Any truth to this?

I'm kind of annoyed as I spent $35 for the pair and as of now they're useless.

You should of searched a little better bro someone explained here that 3157 will NOT work in the cornering light.
When I put a 3157 bulb in mine as soon as I turned it on it ignited a tiny flame and melted the housing where the bulb goes in. So to be safe I wouldn't try installing it anyways. Try returning them and get a 3156 specific if you're having problems just contact them and they'll point you in the right direction

Yea I had done some searching but then couldnt find it again. It was probably one of your posts I found about the fire.

Anyway, thanks for the info. I'll have to contact V-leds and see what they say. Im not sure they have a 3156 specific it seemed any of their bulbs in that category listed 3156 and 3157 and other bulbs as all being compatible.
