Ok this is very strange. Yesterday I put in my LED resistors and every thing seemed good. This morning I started my car and every thing was ok,then I put it in reverse and all my gauges went black.
It has to be because of some thing with the resistors, it never did this before. Where is the fuse for the them and could this be because of the resistors?? |

It could and it couldn't be. Check the "instrument panel" fuse under the dash. Try to drive your car again to see if it does it. If it does it again, it means the resistors are not wired properly.

It happend to me once. In my case after installing audio stuff, it was a bad fuse. I had no lights or anything.

If you take the cover off your fuse box, what options do you have? I can't find the chart that tells me what fuse is what.

Thank you, sir.
@07maximan, check the fuse that says "Electronic Parts" in white and the bottom black. Also the stop lamp fuse. Better yet, check all the fuses to make sure everything is working fine besides the cluster.

No problem glad I was able to help. My max blew that fuse with the HID reverse lights.

Glad you got it sorted out.
I'm assuming that you put the resistor's in the rear. Did you try to tap the green/white(stripe) by chance during the process? That is the one for the reverse lights. I'm curious to why it blew the fuse in the first place. Sometimes I really think these cars came standard with gremlins. |
